Description
This is an Escape Room activity targeting long division with 1 digit divisors. The activity focuses on long division, word problems, and interpreting remainders .
An Escape Room is an adventure in which players solve a series of puzzles using clues, hints, and strategies to complete the objectives at hand.
In this Escape Room, students are presented with a situation. They have been poisoned by an evil witch and must find the antidote in order to survive. To accomplish this, they must solve 4 puzzles. Each puzzle gives them a key, which the teacher holds, and gives to each team as they successfully complete each puzzle.
The activity is designed to be played in small groups. Teacher forms teams. I suggest no more than 5 students in a team.
