This is a digital escape room activity that focuses on place value and rounding. It is great for grades 4 and 5 . Skills covered: place value to the million, rounding to the nearest ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, and hundred thousand, word problems.
An Escape Room is an adventure in which players solve a series of puzzles using clues, hints, and strategies to complete the objectives at hand.
In this DIGITAL Escape Room, students are presented with a situation. Their cruise ship has been hijacked by a band of pirates and they have been locked in a secret room. In order to escape, they must complete 4 challenges. Each challenge provides a code which unlocks a digital lock.
The activity can either be played in small groups or independently .
This escape room is digital. No copies or laminating. No prep. Simply give the students the link provided and that’s it. No google accounts needed, no forced copies, no assigning in google classroom. All students need is a device with internet access.
