Practice long division word problems and particularly interpreting the meaning of the quotient and the remainder with this fun 4 in a row game. This game is differentiated. It includes 2 games: one with i digit divisors and another with 2 digit divisors.
Long division is a skill that requires lots of practice but sometimes that practice is very boring and in the form of worksheets. This game allows students to solve long division word problems, perform the long division calculations, and interpret the remainder or the quotient. All this while having fun while playing a game with their friends! A win win for teachers and students.

Each game includes 16 word problems, many of which are multiple step. Skills included are long division, problem solving, interpreting quotients and remainders, multiplication, addition.
 
Directions:
 
➟Sit students in groups of 4. Each student gets a different Connect Four Board.
 
➟Cut out cards, shuffle, and place face down in the center of table. Cards should not be in order
 
➟Students take turns drawing cards from the pile.
 
➟Student 1 draws first card and everyone solves independently.
 
➟They share answer, find it on their Connect Four Board, and cover it with a color tile, counter, or a small piece of paper
 
➟First person to get 4 answers in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) wins.
