◊ Measuring areas by counting unit squares (square cm, square m, square in, square ft, and improvised units). (3.MD.6)

◊ Solving real world and mathematical problems involving perimeters of polygons, including finding the perimeter given the side lengths, finding an unknown side length, and exhibiting rectangles with the same perimeter and different areas or with the same area and different perimeters. (3.MD.8)

This is resource is great for prompting students to think critically. It is not so easy that they can just click anything, but if forces them to stop and really think about what they are doing. This resources offers more than just rectangles and squares. It allows students to find perimeter of irregular shapes and to compare different options when comparing same areas and different perimeters, etc. Amanda C.
