<div style="text-align: left;">Fractions seems to be the topic that most students struggle with. I know in my own experience teaching third and fourth grades, this is where I spend most of my time. Yet, kids seem to quite never get it. And to top it off, they find fractions plain old boring.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;ve created some fraction games and  resources to get kids excited about fractions. Why not? Teaching and learning fractions should be fun 🙂</div>
<div style="text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">This fraction sort game could be played with a partner and have team competitions to see which team finished first. Kids LOVE to compete. Why not have a fraction sort competition!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;ve included cards to sort into different categories. This one asks students to compare fractions to 1/2 and then sort as follows:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<table style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6SzZNaqYWMU/Vjuu-i1lUpI/AAAAAAAAAOo/B-DPMB8mWVc/s1600/fractionsortrevised.jpg"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6SzZNaqYWMU/Vjuu-i1lUpI/AAAAAAAAAOo/B-DPMB8mWVc/s640/fractionsortrevised.jpg" width="480" height="640" border="0" /></a></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Fractions-Sort-Game-2189121">Click here to access product</a></td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">They can also compare the fractions to 3/5 and sort that way</div>
<table style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vH0eeZTKxdI/VjuqaPqyWdI/AAAAAAAAAOA/xOVTYmwPCZ8/s1600/fractions.JPG"><img decoding="async" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vH0eeZTKxdI/VjuqaPqyWdI/AAAAAAAAAOA/xOVTYmwPCZ8/s640/fractions.JPG" width="480" height="640" border="0" /></a></td>

</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Or sort into whole numbers and not whole numbers</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Rgs-aEl3-EM/VjurlX7EW5I/AAAAAAAAAOU/1dP8jC-EtE0/s1600/fraction2.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Rgs-aEl3-EM/VjurlX7EW5I/AAAAAAAAAOU/1dP8jC-EtE0/s640/fraction2.jpg" width="480" height="640" border="0" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Try these activities with your students and let me know if they enjoyed them.</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div>
